Bio
I built this site because my path isn’t easy to sum up in a sentence.
I started coding at 13 and fell in love with it. Problem-solving felt natural, and my ADD-diagnosed brain seemed to thrive on it.
As a kid, I tried everything: I launched a school newspaper, a tiny “private investigation” service (we charged $20 to find lost keys and pets—results were humble but honest), wrestled, took photos, played basketball, wrote music, MC’d events, designed logos, and even cataloged rocks. I was curious about everything—good at many things, master of none.
In high school I wanted to blend marine biology with computer science, building a program to help people estimate the runoff they contribute to nearby waterways. Then I pivoted to study politics and law.
College was a wake-up call. For the first time, I thought mostly about money. I’m grateful for a hardworking father who made that worry rare when I was young, but I realized chasing a paycheck alone wasn’t it. I enjoyed studying politics—especially economics and international security—but after getting to know lawyers up close, I decided practicing law wasn’t for me.
After earning my degree, I kept pursuing STEM projects while working in marketing. About a year ago, I took a bigger leap: I paused my marketing career and went back to school. I’m still narrowing my focus, but it will live at the intersection of engineering, computing, and problem-solving.
Some might see that as risky or unplanned. I see it as returning to the curiosity that shaped me.
I’m grateful for my family, friends, and community. Whether I end up rich or not isn’t the point. If I can take care of myself and the people around me—and keep learning in a field I love—that’s success to me.
